EXTENDED DOLL INFO

Inamorati dolls are hand sculpted 16" art dolls lovingly made to order in Germany by Finnish doll artists Emilia Nieminen. There is a female Inamorata doll, a male Inamorato doll and you can mix the parts to reflect non-binary gender representation. Dolls can be bought (during an annual preorder) as blank sculptures, painted One-Of-A-Kind dolls or full set dolls.

*The doll on the left is Inamorata 4.0. There have been tiny changes to sculpture and joint mechanics in the new 5.0, but they do not affect measurements.

*The height is measured here with standard feet that come with the doll: the boy in flat feet and the girl in high heels. Naturally the feet affect height, tallest being the ballet on pointe.

MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE

The doll prototype hand sculpted by Emilia Nieminen and cast in extremely limited quantities (30 dolls annually, 5 dolls per resin tone) in special high quality polyurethane resin. The resin was specially developed to have translucency that mimics human skin: eyelids and ears turn translucent and red when held against light.

ARTICULATION

The Ball Jointed Doll (BJD) has 25 points of articulation, including double joints in elbows and knees, allowing their hands to touch shoulders and kneeling in Japanese seiza sitting position. Most of the joints are specially developed and unique to Inamorati, such as the hip joints without front slits. Since Inamorati joints differ from the main stream dolls they move and pose a little differently (see a video to discover all the hidden features) such as the hidden double elbow joint.

AESTHETIC

The Inamorata aesthetic is athletic, inspired by ballet dancers, and showing beautiful lean muscles without looking anorexic. In addition to muscle definition there is extensive sculptural detail in skin texture, veins, tendons and wrinkles. The silicone moulds used to cast these art dolls can only be used a 5 times to capture all the detail, hence the limited quantities, and higher price of the sculpture.

I re-sculpt the heads between each casting to keep the looks fresh, so most Inamorata casts end up being only one of that head sculpt ever made.

• Caramel (toasty tan with a warm honey glow of salt water taffy)

• Chocolate (warm mid tone brown of delicious milk chocolate)

• Coffee (richly deep brown of freshly coffee toasted beans)

• Charcoal (ink black)

• Mint (cold hue of mint ice-cream, special edition)

Each preorder will feature a different selection of resin tones. These are usually selected by voting on social media, so join our Facebook community to cast you vote. Speciality tones like Mint can be ordered during the preorder, but the caster has an extra resin mixing fee of 200 euros for dolls cast individually.

BUST & NECK OPTIONS (5)

The 5 bust options include Flat chest, S bust, M bust, L bust and a Beauty Bust (M bust with solid neck) that can be used to create different body types. For neck sculpture, you can choose between Solid neck (Beauty Bust for those who prefer clean sculptural beauty), Classic 2 piece jointed neck for maximum poseability, or the two new jointed alternatives: Muscular neck for more masculine look and Mature (wrinkle textured) to compliment mature head sculpts (Elizabeth, Nora and Orlando).

LOWER TORSO & "NETHER REGIONS"

Classic Inamorata dolls come with wide hips with narrow waist; new Inamorato male dolls with narrow hips with a magnet attachment for exchangeable penis parts, and there is also a no magnet alternative for narrow hips as well. The magnetic "male parts" are exchangeable and have 3 alternative sculpts. The a mannequin style "Packer" best worn under clothes and for those who like the Ken doll look. There are also two anatomically correct alternatives, "Flaccid" and "Erect" that are sold separately. Scroll the gallery below to see the "not safe for work" parts.

Feet sculpts come in two sizes: Inamorata small feet (similar size to Sybarites, Numina, KD, etc. ) and Inamorato LARGE feet (similar size to Pashapasha mini, Popovy dolls...). They are unisex and fit all previous Inamorata generations. Doll comes with a pair of your choice and the feet are also available separately. The grey prototype photos below show the details on the 4 new large feet sculpts including the highly requested new jointed feet!

HANDS AND GLOVES >>> VIDEO

Each doll comes with a pair of hands of your choice, as well as a pair of dressing paddles to navigate tight sleeves. You can buy extra pairs of exchangeable hands for 85 euros per pair.

FOREARMS

Inamorato doll has new more muscular and veiny forearm option. You can choose either Inamorato veiny forearms or Inamorata smooth forearms for your non binary doll.

EYES

Blank dolls come with one pair of 10mm blank eyes and OOAK dolls come with painted eyes. You can also upgrade your blank to have painted eyes, or order extra pairs to change colour of the eyes. Each pair if eyes in hand painted to your specifications.

  • 2mm - Realistic iris size, showing more sclera.

  • 3mm - Cartoonish, softer, cuter look with a larger iris.

  • Hand painted to you specifications (+25 euros), UV resin lens. (note that you can request not only iris colours but also customise the sclera. If you want a pale iris to look super piercing, a grey sclera can achieve that. Blood vessels and redness can give impression of crying, etc.)
